Questions

How does IPv6 help to improve routing process?
This protocol reduces the size of routing tables thanks to a better aggregation of IP addresses. And it also makes the datagram treatment faster by doing away with the fragmentation of packets.

What are limitations of MIPv6 and how to fix it?
MIPv6 shows limitations for high-speed and very high-speed mobility or for real-time applications because of Triangle Routing that is not an optimal routing process and because of latency at different levels: handover, Binding Update, Registration in a new network, getting a new address.
We can fix it using extensions such as RRP, HMIPv6 or FMIPV6.

What is the main difference between MIP and MIPv6?
There is no need of a Foreign Agent in MIPv6 thanks to IPv6 native functions like Neighbor Discovery and address auto-configuration.

What is Anycast addressing?
It is a networking technique where the same IP prefix is advertised from multiple locations. The network will decide which location to route a user request to. The main advantage is that the node will be always connected to the closest DNS server, from a routing protocol perspective based on costs.

Advantages of HMIPv6?
It provides more flexibility because the router can choose to use basic MIPv6 or MAP. It also reduces signaling like Binding Updates. Finally is improves Handover latency by providing hierarchical levels.
